Local Government Resources
Several local and regional entities provide economic development financing for new and expanding companies in the region:
- City of Bemidji

- Northwest Minnesota Foundation
- Beltrami County
In addition, the following have been accessed by the City of Bemidji in support of development in the city. Both provide a means to write down land cost and pay for site improvements as well as public infrastructure required for a development:

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (Minnesota DEED) offers numerous financing programs designed to help Greater MSP companies retain jobs or create new jobs:
Workforce Training Grants
& Programs
The Minnesota Jobs Skills Partnership works with businesses and schools to train or retrain workers, expand opportunities, and keep high-quality jobs in the region. Grants of up to $400,000 are awarded to educational institutions that partner with the region’s businesses to develop job training or retraining.
